The IC Manage GDP architecture yields equal performance across a wide range of operations, in contrast to systems that optimize certain operations at the expense of others. The most marked example was Tool A that performs well on incremental operations for synchronization, but is nearly unusable for check-in.
With IC Manage GDP, streaming data operations complete in seconds not hours. The message queuing TCP architecture has high performance over networks, particularly over long latency setups like the Internet. As a result, message setup overheads are virtually eliminated and streaming data operations are purely bandwidth limited. The same TCP architecture is used over the LAN, WAN or VPN for fully optimized performance. In contrast, traditional solutions rely on a disjoint set of protocols, such as NFS on the LAN and HTTP on the WAN, resulting in order of magnitude slowdowns.
